Global Temperature has decreased by 1.76°C from year 0, 9.76°C lower than the highest state around 2000 years. This causes the sea level to lower drastically by 120 metres, and tectonic activity has shifted the land on earth to form 2 supercontinents. The ocean regains some of its diversity of very different species, while temperate zone animals and plants replace tropical ones. The human population remains at around 3 billion.

Human Inhabitance

The earth started to cool down into another ice age periodically, while a few major volcano eruptions occurred from the year 5000 to 6000 together with dying Azollas and other ocean plants have accelerated the speed of dropping temperature. The silicon-based lives thrive much more under colder weather, while pure humans and mixed humans (with other species) have settled close to the equator and merged into the carbon-based union. Although there was a population growth after the temperature drop, the volcano eruptions have caused a few major events where a lot of lives died. The machines remain to control the settlement on Mars and further space exploration.

Language

There remains to be an abstract alphabet and a more pictorial one. The abstract alphabet is adopted fully by the machines, while humans use a mixture of both. The form of characters, alphabet, and words are drastically different due to technology and different life forms, as well as lost data and culture from mass extinctions and deaths. However, the pictorial illustrations are still somewhat recognizable due to their intuitive nature.

 

Technology

New technology development brings humans and machines further and further into the universe with less time, however, a new inhabitable galaxy could not be found. Some lives now live on machines and vehicles in the solar system with controlled temperature, but most production of goods, food, and other things are still on Earth (a fraction of it is also on Mars).
